As the International Year of Biodiversity draws to a close, the Office for Science & Technology at the Embassy of France, The French American Cultural Foundation, and the Census of Marine Life have organized “Océans and the Census of Marine Life: A Symposium on Ocean Exploration, Governance, and Ten Years of Discovery”, to be held on Tuesday, October 19th, 2010 from 1:15 PM to 5:45 PM at the Embassy of France, 4101 Reservoir Road NW, Washington DC.
A great group of speakers have been assembled and significant time for discussion and exchanges has been reserved, so as to make the event as interactive as possible. We hope you can join us to hear about the wonders hidden in the oceans’ depths and to celebrate the cooperation between the United States and France on marine research and policy. For more information, view the agenda here.
If you are interested in attending, please contact mfeldman@oceanleadership.org.
Please note that due to limited space, entry to the event will only be available to those who have registered for the event in advance.
