On February 23, 2010, Bob Gagosian, President and CEO of Consortium for Ocean Leadership, delivered the keynote address during an event sponsored by The Oceanographic Society at the Ocean Sciences meeting in Portland, Oregon.

He addressed the role of science in a national ocean policy, Ocean Leadership’s engagement with President Obama’s Ocean Policy Task Force and Ocean Leadership’s recommended science priorities for marine spatial planning.
