Let the Obama Administration know that you support a national policy that protects, maintains and restores our Ocean, Coasts and Great Lakes.
WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 13 - NOON TO 1 PM LAFAYETTE PARK, ACROSS FROM THE WHITE HOUSE
Get out of your overheated office during Lunchtime on Wednesday, January 13, for “Wear Blue for the Ocean Day,” and join a coalition of citizens and conservation groups as we rally to restore the blue in our red, white and blue. Get inspired by a few brief speakers including Sherman’s Lagoon cartoonist Jim Toomey, whale and critter costumes, surfboards, free t-shirts and a spirit of hopeful celebration for the new year and a new approach to federal ocean policy.
Thousands of people across the country will be wearing blue in their offices, work sites, classrooms, and on the streets at similar events (including San Francisco, Honolulu, Cambridge and New Orleans). Come out on Wednesday, January 13 and get some fresh air for the other 71 percent of our blue planet.
