Who should apply?
Young research scientists in the early stages of their professional careers in academia, research institutes, government laboratories and industry. Students are not eligible to apply.
How to apply
Original, innovative results/findings from your research should be submitted as an abstract (350 words maximum) including title, author(s), and affiliation. A paragraph that explains the significance of your work should accompany the abstract together with a brief CV or resume.

Criteria for selection
- Must be a young scientist in early career stage, actively engaged in research;
- Content of contribution must clearly relate to some aspect of UEP 2010, such as new knowledge about urban environmental pollution and overcoming obstacles to sustainability and quality of life;
- Contribution must be original and innovative, adding significant new knowledge;
- Applicant must be able to travel and attend the entire conference
Awards
As many as three applicants will be selected to give papers at UEP2010. Invitees will receive up to three nights’ accommodation at the conference hotel, free registration and reasonable reimbursement for travel expenses.
