SeaWeb: Sharks Matter!

Shark populations around the world are under threat for a multitude of reasons, including the global market for shark fin soup. SeaWeb’s Sharks Matter feature focuses on science-based, conservation stories from around the world to celebrate these misunderstood marine animals, shedding light on their ecological and economic importance. Check SeaWeb.org every day from July 31 through August 6 for news, photos, and stories about sharks and the people who are working to protect them.
