Program Update: Interagency Ocean Observation Committee – March 2012
System Act of 2009 to “develop contract certification standards and compliance procedures for all non-Federal assets.” The certification criteria is a culmination from two working groups focused on governance/management and data partnership components of regional entities associated with IOOS. The next step in the process is for the committee to adjudicate all comments received and publish the final certification criteria.
The Independent Cost Estimate (ICE) is being executed by the NASA Jet Propulsion Lab (JPL). JPL is working with the IOOS Program Office to ensure the project is on track. This includes reconciliation with the Program Cost Estimate being provided by the IOOS Program Office.
The next full committee meeting will be held on Thursday, April 19, 2011 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at the Consortium for Ocean Leadership.
