The Interagency Working Group on Ocean Partnerships (IWG-OP) held their May 8 meeting at the Department in the Interior (DOI) Main Building.  Members of various program offices within DOI attended the meeting, such as Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM), Bureau of Safety and Environment Enforcement (BSEE), Bureau of Land Management, National Parks Service, Fish and Wildlife Service and DOI’s Office of Ocean, Coasts and Great Lakes Activities, to encourage participation and discuss possible avenues for future collaborations.  The IWG-OP will hold their next meeting at the Consortium for Ocean Leadership June 12.

The Interagency Working Group on Facilities and Infrastructure’s (IWG-FI) Subcommittee on Unmanned Systems (SUS) met on May 22 at Ocean Leadership.  The IWG-FI’s Federal Oceanographic Fleet Working Group (FOFWG) met on May 21, also at Ocean Leadership.  At their April 30 meeting, the IWG-FI tasked several members to develop a new working group called the Fleet Schedule Portal Working Group (FSPWG), and the group held their inaugural meeting at Ocean Leadership on May 21.  The IWG-FI will hold their next meeting at Ocean Leadership on June 22.

Staff from the NOPP Office will be attending Capitol Hill Ocean Week (CHOW), which is hosted by the National Marine Sanctuary Foundation, from June 5-8 in Washington, D.C.  This theme for this year’s CHOW is “One Nation, Shaped by the Sea.”  More information on CHOW, including an agenda, can be found here.
