How To Get Involved
There are many opportunities to get involved with the NOSB either as a student or coach participant or as an NOSB volunteer. Volunteers act in many capacities during the competition and outside of the competition. Please follow the links to learn more about how you can serve on NOSB's Technical Advisory Panel (TAP), become a question writer, or a scientific mentor.
If you are a student or coach interested in competing:
1. Locate a regional competition near you and contact the regional coordinator who can answer your questions.
2. Form a team of 4-5 students and one adult coach.
3. Register for a regional competition.
4. Study and practice answering sample questions.
If you are interested in becoming a volunteer for a competition near you:
1. Locate a regional competition near you and contact the regional coordinator who can answer your questions about volunteer opportunities.
2. Learn about the official roles of volunteers at the NOSB competitions.
