COAST Internship
2010 Internship Opportunities TBA!

Check Out the Final Report for COAST’s Redwood Internship Program
Background
The Coastal and Ocean Science Training Internship Program (COAST) is an opportunity offered through a partnership with NOSB and The Student Conservation Association (SCA) to further the hands-on marine science education of NOSB’s participating students. Since it’s first year in
2003, the COAST interns have worked on a variety of marine and coastal scientific research projects with SCA crew leaders and onsite researchers in Cape Cod National Seashore, Olympic National Park, Pt Reyes National Seashore, and Redwood National Park. Follow the links for a detailed description of the 2008 COAST Internships at Redwood National Park and Pt Reyes National Seashore.
The COAST program is an opportunity for individual challenge, meeting new friends, and trying new activities while getting hands-on experience working in one of our nation’s most pristine and diverse habitats. COAST is not a summer camp experience; it is however, a chance for students to learn about the coastal environment in ways that they never could in a classroom or by reading a textbook. NOSB participants are automatically qualified to apply, regardless of how their team places in a competition.
