Fredericksburg Academy was one of 16 schools selected to compete in the Blue Crab Bowl, an academic team contest co-hosted by Old Dominion University and the Virginia Institute of Marine Science. Held at ODU in February, this is the regional competition of the National Ocean Sciences Bowl. The following upper-school students have been selected for the Blue Crab Bowl team: Adam Grabfelder, Alix Jacobson, Brock Martin, Cara Simpson and Ashleigh Stepp.
