CHILI 5 students win in science bowl

Five Churchville-Chili High School students won first place in a National Ocean Sciences Bowl regional competition held Saturday at the State University of New York at Stony Brook. The winners Steven Brown, Patrick Chamberlain, Brendan Linehan, Julie Morningstar and Sean Tanner each took home a cash prize of $1,000 and earned a trip to the national competition in Alaska April 25-27. The team is one of 25 regional winners in the academic competition, which focuses on the study of the oceans. To leam more about the organization, visit www.nosb.org.
