Background Materials

Background Materials provides quick access to some of the initial planning documents of the Integrated Ocean Drilling Program (IODP). This section also includes brochures highlighting the accomplishments of scientific ocean drilling and fact sheets on how to participate in the program.

Meeting Reports

Committee, task force, and working group reports are used to identify science needs and provide advice and ideas to manage various aspects of scientific ocean drilling.

Communication Tools

Scientists often discuss IODP-related research with colleagues, the media, policymakers, and the public.  Communication Tools contains links to supportive slides, images, and advice.

Science Community News

Ocean Leadership's newsletter covers program updates, legislative news, education and outreach activities, and funding opportunities of interest to the ocean science community.

Related Websites

IODP relies on the support of partners and organizations operating around the world.  Related Websites includes links to IODP science operators, IODP project management offices, and other scientific drilling projects.
