Implementation

The SODV implementation organizational structure is composed of five internal Ocean Leadership Alliance teams (one management team, three implementation teams, and an administrative team), and an advisory committee, the Program Advisory Committee (PAC).

Conversion Management Team

The SODV Conversion Management Team (CMT) is the focal point for all strategic planning and high level tracking of SODV acquisition and conversion activities. The CMT also is responsible for approval of conversion construction drawings and resolution of any design team conflicts, and final approval of project budgets and changes, equipment procurement plans, and preliminary and final SODV conversion designs.

Program Advisory Committee

The Program Advisory Committee (PAC), composed of members of the science and drilling communities, is charged with assessing the design plans for the on-board science and drilling capabilities. This committee provides feedback to the Conversion Management Team (CMT) in an iterative process to ensure that the final plans reflect the needs of the science community.
